Marketing and Entertainment Panel 2026
We hosted our first Marketing and Entertainment Panel, featuring eight professionals from top companies sharing their experiences and insights as Black professionals in the marketing and entertainment industry. Representatives from Microsoft, Netflix, Sony, Spotify, the LA Rams, and more spoke to our members about the importance of trusting your abilities and owning your identity in spaces with limited Black representation. This event provided an incredible opportunity for members interested in these fields to connect with individuals who were once in their shoes and learn from their journeys.
BBSA’s Career & Networking Night 2025
At our annual Career Networking Night, our members had the opportunity to connect with professionals from a wide range of industries, including consulting, law, finance, engineering, technology, entertainment, marketing, and communications. The evening featured a powerful keynote address by Blair Taylor, former CEO of President Obama’s nonprofit My Brother’s Keeper, who spoke about the importance of standing out in professional spaces that often present challenges for minorities. Throughout the night, our members gained valuable insights into their chosen career paths and built meaningful connections with industry professionals.
Sports Industry Panel 2025
Our 2025 Sports Panel featured industry leaders from renowned teams such as the Lakers, Clippers, Rams, and Dodgers. These professionals shared valuable insights into their career journeys and the dedication required to succeed in the sports industry. Through their stories, our members gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to pursue a career in this competitive field. Following the panel, members had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one networking, ask personal questions, and build meaningful connections with the speakers.
RCLCO Office Tour 2025
A group of our members had the opportunity to spend the day at the RCLCO office, a leading real estate consulting and investment advisory firm. During their visit, they toured the professional workspace and engaged in insightful conversations with employees about their roles, career paths, and day-to-day responsibilities. This close-up experience allowed our members to connect directly with professionals in the positions they aspire to, offering a firsthand look at what a future career in the industry could look like.
